On the 16th anniversary of 9/11, celebrities from sport, show business, pop and fashion turned out to support the 13th BGC charity event.
Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliate, BGC Partners, held their annual charity day, raising money for a wide range of good causes. The day day was set up to remember the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald workers, and 61 employees of Eurobrokers employees, who died in the terrorist attacks in 2001.
Celebrities included Alan Carr, Liz Hurley, Didier Drogba, Frank Bruno and Wayne & Frankie Bridge. They and others took their turn on the phones on the BGC trading floor, selling stocks in Canary Wharf.
Black Cab Advertising arranged for a fleet of taxis, with the BGC charity artwork on them to transport the invited guests between Canary Wharf and their home or hotel. All the money raised goes towards dozens of charities including the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund which helps support victims of terrorism and natural disasters.
